Textured Vase

• Ideal for absolute beginners to those have worked with clay before.
• Suited for adults and participants 14yrs+.
• Learn about the health and safety concerns when working with clay
• Learn how to join clay securely using the score and slip technique
• Roll out a slab of clay and compress
• Brainstorm your design and make a template on paper
• Your tutor will offer various options for style, type of joins and texture & text
• Apply texture to your slab using natural and man made materials (feel free to bring in lace or texture that is meaningful to you) 
• Cut your clay to the template design
• Create a cylinder, connect the joins and connect the base
• Allow the vase to set before applying underglaze colours
• Choices of clear or tinted glaze options will be discussed

Your vase will be carefully dried for a week, bisque fired, glazed and glaze fired. It will be ready for pick up in 3-4 weeks time.

All tools, clay, materials and firing is included.

Feel free to wear an apron to protect your clothes from clay dust.
